NEW LENSE!!!! :D

So, I have been wanting a new toy.  I couldn't decide.  The flash I've been pining after, the telephoto I've been pining after or the 55mm portrait lens I've been pining after.  DECISION! DECISIONS!  Well, because I have 2 different zoom lenses, my flash was more expensive (and i have over $200 in gift cards headed my way for future purchase of said lens)  I chose to get the portrait lens.  Large in part because I have quite a few shoots lined up for February that I really want to use it for!! Super excited! Anyways, here are a few I was testing with it wide open.  The bokeh (fuzzy background) is amazing on this thing.  Then on the way home Madison pulled her tooth out. Photo opportunity?  I think so!  :)

iron chef VLAZNY

So for a couple of years now I have been talking about having an iron chef competion.

My husband vs. whoever dare take him on. 

mwahahaha

About 5 months ago I was telling my friends the Hayes' about this who then told The Baltich's about it and this EQ activity was born. It was awesome.  Derrick did an awesome job of putting it together.  

I had no idea how to start it and organize and PAY for it.  I was so happy it was finally happening though.  

Nathan was made an iron chef and competed in two categories.  There were multiple for the evening, divided into 4 teams.  Lots of food lots of competition.  My hubs won both his entry's and Won the over all people's choice award for food of the night!! I love him.....and his FOOD!
