Today I drove down to Rock Hill to meet one of my bestest friends Tina. I love that we are still close enough to see each other every couple of months. We shopped and ate lunch at the mall. It's always fun to see good friends and have a little girl time!
Added picture bonus because I love it. Emily chowing down on her pizza. I'm starting to get a little better at doing everything manually with my camera (after picking my friends brain). Hopefully after a million more questions and pictures I'll get awesome at this!

Spaghetti for dinner tonight. Can I just say I have the bestest chefest husband ever!! I love that he cooks cuz I don't! Added bonus, he is a pretty darn good cook too!

I got my hair cut off today. Almost 10 inches in the back!! I like it a LOT! YAY!

Bryson's first Pinewood Derby and he won 1st place!!! He's soooo proud. So is Nathan! He had sooo much fun and was trying to be such a good sport to his friends that didn't do as well. I'm most proud of that. :) He did such an awesome job! Congratulations Bryson!!

I've been in the mood for a craft project for sometime. Usually that is a bad thing because my projects tend to be...hmmm, let's just say large in scale. ;) I had to go to Michael's today for some last minute Pinewood derby accesories for my son's first race. Bad place to go when you have a crafting itch. Sooooo after filling up my cart and then talking myself out of quite a few projects, I unloaded my cart and stuck with the one that has been driving me the most crazy. I have had my centerpiece vase sitting empty on my table since Christmas clean-up. Sooo YAY! new centerpiece for my table is complete!

Today Emily and I took a trip into Charlotte to eat lunch with Nathan. We did some shopping and ate outside at a Little Grill on Trade street. It's always fun to go into the city.

My garden has started sprouting. I love it when you can still see the remnant of the outer layer of the seed on the leaf of the plant. It really amazes me that such big things can come out of such small things.
I feel a scripture coming on....

First day of spring = FREE RITA'S!! Yummy!! It somehow taste better when it's free. :)

Went to the park today to enjoy this gorgeous weather! I love love love when it starts getting warm out. Had some friends meet me there and enjoyed some mommy company. Here's Emily hanging out on the bench with "hers puppy" while I'm packing up to go. She is really tired, poor baby.

March 17th

My baby is growing up. I have really enjoyed my last three years with her. I'm such a better mom then when my older three were little. It is so evident with her I've done that much better of a job. She really is a joy to be around everyday. She has a vivid imagination and is still clueless to the outside world. She is the epitome of childhood to me. Sweet, loving and carefree. This is her in her Belle princess gown spinning in circles in the front yard.

With daylight savings time I am forced to see the sunrise every morning now. Not my favorite time of day but I'm trying to enjoy the beauty of it. Spring is beginning to bloom here and I love it. I'm ready for the warmth and beauty of the earth coming to life again. This is the morning light on the tree in front of my house ready to explode into pink flowers. :)

New Camera

Soooooo, I used to love photography. I took pictures all the time before things went digital. I FINALLY have a new digital camera that is as good as my old film one was. Soooo I would like to try the picture a day challenge. (thanks for the idea Krista! ) I want to get better at using my camera and get back to being creative with my blog instead of lame and boring! I'm really out of practice so hopefully we will see progress over the year. So that being said, "Here's the first one!"



One of my New years resolutions is to play the piano more. I have been doing pretty well. I'm currently trying to learn a David Glenn Hatch version of "Let us all press on". It is insanely HARD in some places. Hopefully i will get it to perfomance level and be able to play it at church. It's so powerfully written, I love it!
